Jazz on the ArtWalk – St. Pete Arts Alliance

What an event Jazz on the ArtWalk was for Xina and I. Today’s post is on an assignment I had working with Xina Scuderi who was the lead photographer on this. The jazz event coincided with Second Saturday Artwalk – www.stpeteperforms.org. St. Pete Art Alliance required the photos for marketing and to document the event.

Anyone familiar with the art scene in St. Pete (The Warehouse Arts District, Grand Central District and the EDGE District) knows that the area is loaded with art galleries. The monthly event which St. Pete Arts Alliance organizes with free trolley rides allow galleries to have extended hours and transportation so that guests can patronize and experience art after dark. Jazz on the ArtWalk had 9 galleries feature live jazz music. The galleries were: Craftsman House Gallery featuring music by Jason Charos Ensemble; Charlie Parker Pottery featuring music Stretch Bruyn Quartet;  Duncan McClellan Gallery featuring music by Ashwood Jazz Project; ArtsXchange Gallery featuring music by James Suggs; Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American History Museum featuring music by Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz; Morean Center for Clay featuring music by EMIT 5tet; Florida CraftArt featuring music by Erik Hempel Trio; Urban Arts Gallery featuring music by Sugar Cane Combo with JJ Pattishall & Friends and Sundial featuring music by Lakewood High School Jazz Band & Madeira Beach Fundamental Swing Rays.

As there were 9 locations to photograph there is no reason why Xina needed the assistance to photograph and document the event.
