It was a great sunny day for the City of St. Petersburg! The St. Pete Police Dept had their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony for their new HQ. The new 168,000 SF building features many technological advances the older HQ did not have. What is awesome is the building has a lot of awesome public art. The most noteworthy is Gladiolous at the entrance and Shielded inside the lobby by Mark Aeling of MGA Sculptures. Public art is great for our great city of art – St. Pete, Florida. The building can also withstand 195 MPH winds which would be needed in case the big one hits.
