The parents of Isaac were beaming with pride at their son’s Isaac’s Baptism at St. Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Chuch. It was a blessed day and was grateful to be a part of it. Baptism is one of the most significant days of a person’s life. It’s just as important as one’s birthdate, as it symbolizes the rebirth of the person into his/her new life. In the othodox faith, baptism it is the first of seven sacraments – marriage is another one, and I love to photograph those as well.
The proud parents had invited me to join them for Issac’s baptism ceremony, their son’s holy journey into the Orthodox Faith, and I was honored to be there. Baby Issan cried a little during the baptism but those were tears of joy! After the baptism, the family headed over to the church’s reception hall for a get together. Everyone at the church made it over and had a photograph taken with baby Isaac.
