Sunbelt Quarterly Company Luncheon | St. Petersburg Corporate Event Photography
One of the best parts of being a professional event photographer in Tampa Bay is building relationships with businesses that continue to bring me back to document their events. I recently had the pleasure of working with SunBelt Home Solutions again, this time photographing their quarterly company luncheon at the beautiful James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.
Quarterly company gatherings are a great opportunity for an organization to bring its entire office together, step away from the normal workday, and spend time connecting with colleagues. Whether it’s catching up with coworkers, sharing a meal, or simply enjoying time together outside the office, these events are an important part of building company culture.
A Unique Setting at The James Museum
The James Museum located in downtown St. Petersburg offers a distinctive setting for corporate events and private gatherings. Known for its impressive collection of Western and wildlife art, the museum provides an atmosphere that is quite different from a traditional hotel ballroom or conference space.
The architecture, artwork, and thoughtfully designed spaces make it an excellent venue for corporate luncheons, networking events, receptions, and company celebrations.
It’s also one of my favorite venues in St. Pete to photograph. The museum offers plenty of interesting visual elements that help tell the story of an event beyond the traditional guest and group photographs. Every time I get the opportunity to work at the venue – I LOVE IT!
Capturing the People Behind the Business
For corporate luncheon photography, my approach is a combination of candid event coverage and casually posed photographs. While it’s important to capture the overall setting and the people attending, some of the best photographs happen naturally throughout the event.
From coworkers reconnecting and conversations around the tables to group photographs and the overall atmosphere, these are the moments that help document the personality of an organization.
Professional event photography isn’t just about having pictures of an event after it’s over. These photographs can also become valuable assets for internal communications, company newsletters, social media, recruitment, and future marketing.
