Tampa Event Photography at The Motor Enclave for
The Home Depot Builder Show
I recently had the opportunity to photograph an incredible corporate event in Tampa, Florida, working with The Home Depot team at their Builder Show for HD Pros. The event was produced by Etherio and hosted at one of the most unique venues in the area – The Motor Enclave.
This was one of those assignments that had a little bit of everything: high-energy networking, a packed expo floor, and even high-performance track experiences. As an event photographer, these are the kinds of jobs that keep things exciting.
A Unique Tampa Event Venue: The Motor Enclave
The Motor Enclave is not your typical corporate event space. Known for its private driving circuit and luxury automotive experiences, it created an atmosphere that felt far from a traditional convention center.
For this event, the venue allowed for a seamless blend of business and adrenaline. Inside, the expo floor was buzzing with vendors and professionals connecting. Outside, the track brought a completely different energy, with fast cars and hands-on experiences that elevated the entire event.
From a photography standpoint, having both environments in one location made it easy to capture a wide range of moments that tell a complete story.
Capturing the Energy of the Home Depot Pro Community
The Home Depot Pro community showed up in full force. Throughout the day, I focused on documenting authentic interactions – conversations between attendees who were small business owners like myself who owned building contracting companies, booth engagement, and the overall flow of the event.
Their slogan, “How Doers Get More Done,” really came through in how engaged and hands-on everyone was. It wasn’t just a passive conference but rather it was active, collaborative, and full of energy.
As a photographer, those are the moments that matter most. Real expressions, real connections, and the kind of candid interactions that make event coverage feel genuine.
From Expo Floor to Race Track
One of the highlights of the day was capturing the transition from the indoor expo environment to the outdoor track experience.
Photographing high-performance cars in motion adds a completely different layer to event coverage. It requires quick timing, awareness of movement, and adapting to changing light conditions – especially in a Florida outdoor setting.
Blending those action shots with corporate branding, attendee engagement, and environmental details helped create a well-rounded gallery that tells the full story of the event.
