Readers of my blog know that I often photograph events that happen in the Tampa Bay area, and this is especially true of the art scene. My friend, Xina Scuderi, of The Renegade Fashion Writer, was one of the 30+ artists at the current exhibit at the gallery Blue Lucy in St. Petersburg, Florida owned by Chad Mize. This month’s exhibit is titled, Infectious: The Art of Glitter and Xina’s two art pieces are named “A Beautiful Mess and “Valentines Day.”

For those who are not familiar with the art scene in St. Petersburg, it is a happening place with art galleries up and down Central Avenue and in the surrounding Warehouse Arts District. The gallery opening on Valentines Day at Blue Lucy was a big hit as seen by the photos and video below.

When Xina told me about her idea for the show, I knew I had to get some Behind the Scene (BTS) shots of Xina with model Summer-Rae. I was also the Lighting Tech on the shoot and let Xina use my macro lens. Check out these BTS photos!

  1. […] It’s Racing Season for the Indycar and again the season starts in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida – my hometown at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. As this is my hometown I am able to watch the track get build, and you all know how much I love behind the scene work. Today was not the best day (not so sunny) as you can tell from the sky as I thought for sure it was going to rain. Also, if you like this post check out my post from 2014 here […]
